One UK Football Schools recruit who joined what we consider to be the best UK soccer school has had a lot of success in the past year studying on his university foundation course. Alex joined a UK soccer school last September after playing university soccer in Boston, USA. The reason behind Alex’s move to the UK was down to the standard of coaching not living up to the requirements for him to progress and felt that there weren’t many exposure opportunities for professional clubs to see him.
Alex found his feet very quickly since joining one of the best schools in England with a local semi-professional team Kettering Town FC inviting Alex in to train with their first team. Whilst training with Kettering Town Alex was still playing six days a week with the boarding football academy at the top UK boarding school.
Over the year Alex has played regularly within the elite English soccer school and has been coaches by several ex-professional players which include ex-Premier League players, players who have received international caps and a manager who guided his team to the Premier League. These coaching experiences that Alex has had whilst attending one of the best soccer schools in England has recently led to him trialling with Brentford FC, a top Championship side. To go from trialling with a semi-professional club in October 2018 to trialling with a top EFL club by Summer 2019 is a fantastic achievement by Alex and the hard work he has put in over the past year has paid off. It also shows true testament to one of the best soccer schools in England and that the opportunities really are there for players to take if they take that step into an elite English soccer school.
