Samuel reached out to our team here at UK Football Schools through Instagram back in January 2020 looking for a top private football academy in Europe where he could take a gap year to focus fully on his football.
Samuel had been playing NPL football back in Australia and had been working his way up through the footballing pyramid there but felt the exposure opportunities to players were lacking at his U20 age group, Samuel felt that he needed to be in a footballing environment that would allow him to receive a high level of coaching whilst having the opportunity to showcase against professional and semi-professional clubs on a regular basis.
Samuel joined what we regard here at UK Football Schools as the best private football academy in Spain in September 2020 after a successful move over from Australia in August, Samuel hit the ground running at the private football academy in Spain and after just two weeks he was picked up by a professional club in Spain who invited him in to trial with their squads. Samuel was continuing to play in Spain’s top private football academy whilst trialling with the professional club and after a successful trial he was offered a place to sign with the club full time. In the space of six weeks Samuel has arrived from Australia to join one of Europe’s best private football academies, trialling with a professional club to then sign for the professional club from the best private football academy in Spain.
We are over the moon for Samuel and we wish him all the best at his new club in Spain, but he has done extremely well to settle in such a short space of time in a new footballing environment and has shown with the ambition to work with the best, attitude to working hard and move out of his comfort zone that there are opportunities out there to further your steps into the footballing world.
