Frank Lampard Has Just Taken His Dream Job, but Where Did he Start this Journey?

At just 41, Frank Lampard has taken his dream job at Chelsea Football Club. This is a momentous move for any manager, especially one that has been managing at first team level for not even two years!

Frank Lampard took the job at Chelsea following a successful year at Championship side, Derby County and a successful playing career, including being the England captain, winning the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League. It’s safe to say he has had a sparking career so far!

All this said, Frank actually started out his football journey in one of the best schools in England for football, Brentwood School. There are lots of boarding schools in England and boarding schools in London, where Frank is from, however it was a choice of his parents to study here. Here, in this soccer prep school, the school had its own, in house International Soccer school which has seen other players go on from here to play professionally.

Frank took this pathway, knowing that in case of an injury, or when he would need an education later in life (for his management career!), he would need to study hard and get a good education in a top International Soccer School. He in fact went on to achieve an A* grade for Latin!

By coming to boarding schools in England for football, this not only gives you the UK soccer experience and development you need, but it gives you the exposure. It is hard to be scouted for a European club in the US, Canada or Australia for example!

Soccer in England is growing, and soccer prep schools are becoming more successful in producing footballers. We can help you find the very best schools in England for football, as well as sports boarding schools UK in general. An International Soccer School might be just what you need to ignite your footballing journey, as it did Frank!
