Christian had already attended our sister company UK Football Trials 5 day camp in the past and rekindled his flavour for English football during his time with us after moving away at a younger age. Last year Christian took the leap and contacted our team here at UK Football Schools to help find him a top private school in the UK where he could continue with his academic and football development at the highest level. Christian had spent a lot of his time in Europe but found the opportunities to develop increasingly limited, alongside the lack of exposure he knew he would have to come back to England to help reach his potential.
Last September Christian joined a top independent school in England where his development has gone from strength to strength. Christian recently turned 15 but has spent the majority of the year playing in the elite squads of both the U15s and U16s due to his ability and attitude. To start with it was a little tough playing against bigger players but under the guidance of UEFA license coaches, an Ex-Premier League player/manager plus an ex-professional turned S&C coach he has outshone many of his peers in both age groups. This coupled up with the excellent education, Christian is performing excellent both inside the classroom and out on the pitch.
Since Christian joined one of the best schools in England for football development, he has had the chance to showcase in front of numerous professional and semi-professional clubs; one of the key motives behind his move to the UK. In the short time since moving back to the UK to join up with the boarding football academy, Christian has been rewarded with the opportunities to trial at two fantastic professional clubs; Watford and Derby County. These trials are in the process of being arranged but it is a fantastic achievement which hopefully he can make success out of in the future.
At 14 years of age it is a big life choice to move away from home to live in a boarding environment, the sacrifice and hard work Christian has put in since joining one of the UK’s best football boarding schools has been a delight to watch and we hope you have plenty more successes in the future.
