On Thursday 24th January, our team, Harry, Chris, Ben, Kai and Tom travelled to where we think is the best University for football in the UK, if not the world!
The University had invited UK Football Schools to hold an exclusive open day for our players. At UK Football Schools and UK Football Trials, we see thousands of footballers who aren’t quite up to the same level as the boys who are currently in professional football clubs and have no where to turn. They either go and work for a living at 18 years old and play football at amateur level on the side, or they go to University to obtain a degree, helping them progress into there career choice in the future. This becomes the beginning of the end of their dreams of one day playing football professionally.
So, as well as researching for the best boarding schools for football, football academies in the UK and in Europe, we set out to find the best University for football for our players.
This pathway allows players to continue their education, but at the same time continue developing football to a very high level. This means that they continue to give themselves the opportunity to one day break into the professional game. We know of players who went to University and now play at the highest level in the Premier League and Championship!
