“My son, Jake is mad about football and here in Malta, he was finding it hard to get very good coaching to help him improve his football. We attended the UK Football Trials camp in summer and saw the difference in not only the coaching, but the level of professionalism, with Jake learning things about psychology, nutrition and video analysis that he could only dream about in Malta. When my husband and I spoke to Chris, we realised that these programmes are available in England in football boarding schools. Chris sent me a few options and we came and visited the school. Chris picked Jake and I up from the airport and took us to the school, where Jake met a few of the teachers, the headmaster and director. Jake was then invited to go with the Under 15’s team to Birmingham Football Club’s training ground, where the team played against the Under 15s academy team! He came on as a substitute and I have never seen Jake so happy. We of course enrolled at the football school and although it was a huge investment for my family, I think it is perfect and Jake is not only loving his football, but he is working hard with his classes to!
